Removal – Dell XPS Hinge

1. Before starting read, Dell Laptop Service Precautions.
   
   **Tech note: The M1530 has multiple screen types and configurations(CCFL, LED, with and without camera, Electronic Privacy View [EPV], and different resolutions for the screens). Before purchasing LCD back assemblies, LCD bezels, LCD Cables, LCD Inverters, and LCD screens you should confirm the part numbers.
2. Remove the Battery.

3. Remove the LCD Display Assembly.

4. Remove the LCD Screen.

5. Remove the LCD Back Cover Assembly.

6. Unscrew the 2.5mm x 5mm screw in the right hinge.

   M1530 Right Hinge Screw

7. Unscrew the 2.5mm x 5mm screw in the left hinge.

Installation – Dell XPS M1530 Hinge

1. Place the left and right hinges onto the back assembly and secure with the screws.
2. Replace the LCD Back Cover Assembly.

3. Replace the LCD Screen.

4. Replace the LCD Display Assembly.
